Rooted Here. Open to You.

Yamabushi training has been practised on these mountains for over 1,400 years. We didn't invent it. We were invited into it.

Here is who stands behind what we offer, and why it matters.

Yamabushi Masters

Master Fumihiro Hoshino

Sendatsu Fumihiro Hoshino has led hundreds through yamabushi training over more than 50 years. One of fewer than 50 practitioners worldwide to have completed the Fuyu no Mine, a 100-day winter peak ritual, he is also head of the board of directors at Dewa Sanzan Jinja and the author of three books on Shugendo philosophy. Our programs were developed under his guidance, and he works exclusively with us.

"Do everything as your soul senses and you will have no trouble."

Master Kazuhiro Hayasaka

Master Hayasaka is a 17th generation yamabushi, head of Daishinbo pilgrim's lodge, and one of the lead Sendatsu during the Akinomine, the Dewa Sanzan Autumn Peak initiation ritual. [ 🚧 In progress — his role in the program, particularly the reconnection sessions, to be added ]

Our sendatsu have trained on these mountains as yamabushi. They are not mere interpreters. They are bilingual practitioners who know what it takes, what it means, and can bring the teachings of the mountains to you in your own language.
